Charlie Grisham, a coaching legend in the State of Georgia, has brought great honor to Jacksonville  State University through his expertise in the field of coaching. Grisham, who played on JSU’s Refrigerator Bowl team in 1955, won his 250th victory on September 14, 1984, one week before being inducted into Jacksonville State  University’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Grisham, running the Notre Dame Box offense he learned under Coach Don Salls at JSU, won state championships in 1974, 1972, 1971, 1964, 1961 at Carrolton, Georgia High School. The football stadium in Carrollton now bears his name.
