Tracy Linton is considered the most prolific rebounder in Gamecock basketball history. She shattered both the Jacksonville State and Gulf South Conference career record for rebounds with 1,530 during her four-year career and also holds the highest average in rebounds for a season with 16.6 at both JSU and in the GSC. She was named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year as a senior after setting both JSU and GSC records for rebounds in a season (430) as she led the GSC in rebounding for the third straight year. She averaged 15.9 points and an incredible 16.6 rebounds. The Thomasville, Ga., native averaged 12.3 points and 10.5 rebounds to earn GSC Freshman of the Year honors in 1990. As a sophomore, she averaged 15.2 points and 12.1 rebounds and then earned All-GSC honors as a junior after scoring 17.6 points and 13.6 rebounds. She played in 116 games during her career and helped the Gamecocks to three trips to the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 1991.
