Bullard Leads Jax State Rifle at Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. – Senior Samantha Bullard finished second in aggregate score with an 1180 at Murray State over the weekend to lead the Jacksonville State rifle team.
The Gamecocks turned in an overall team aggregate mark of 4628 and finished second behind the Racers, who posted a 4714 combined score. JSU collected a 2298 in smallbore and 2330 in air rifle.
Bullard, from Uriah, Alabama, matched MSU's Barbara Schlapfer for the top air rifle score as both registered a 595. Bullard was second to Schlapfer with a 585 in smallbore.
Junior Garrett turned in a top-10 overall finish with a 579 in both portions of the match. Freshman David Sink carded a 579 in air rifle and a 568 in smallbore. Junior Brandon Muske aided in JSU's air rifle sore with a 579. Freshman Makenna Richardson rounded out the Jax State scores with a 576 in air rifle and a 575 in smallbore.
The Gamecocks return to action on October 31 in Oxford, Mississippi as they will compete against the Rebels of Ole Miss and the Mountaineers of West Virginia.
