
JSU's Iannotti Fires Program's Second-Best Air Rifle Mark

JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State freshman Annie Iannotti fired the second-highest air rifle score in the program's history on Saturday to lead the No. 15 Gamecocks against former conference foe Morehead State on Saturday at the Gamecock Rifle Range inside Rowe Hall on the Jax State campus.
The Eagles edged the Gamecocks in the overall aggregate by 13 points as they produced a 4673. Jax State fired a 2356 in air rifle and added a 2317 in air rifle to post a final tally of 4661.
Iannotti's air rifle score of 598 ranks second to former Gamecock standout Brandon Muske's 599. The Oxford, Alabama product finished second overall in the match with a final mark of 1167 after adding a 569 in smallbore. Sophomore Angus Babcock and junior Lars Lilleng rounded out the top-five on the individual list. Babcock turned in a final tally of 1163 after a 591 in air rifle and a 572 in smallbore. Lilleng matched Babcock's overall score after recording a 587 in air rifle and a 576 n smallbore.
Senior Kaila Jones bolstered Jax State's air rifle score with a 593, while freshman Kyle Orr and sophomore Sam Burrow accounted for two of JSU's top-10 individual marks. Orr accumulated a final score of 1156 to finish seventh while Burrow registered an 1151 to round out the top-10 individuals.
The Gamecocks return to action next weekend, traveling to Lexington, Virginia to meet VMI on Saturday, February 4.
