A solid second round performance helped Jax State take 13
th at The Ally, hosted by Mississippi State at Old Waverly Golf Club.
The Gamecocks bounced back from a 309 team score in Monday's first round with a 296 on Tuesday and concluded with a 306 on Tuesday to post a total of 911 for 54 holes.
Florida won the event with a 26-under score of 838 for a new tournament record.
Sophomore
Rebekka Stutley was the top finisher on the roster in a tie for 37
th with a six-over 54-hole total of 222. Stutley posted a two-over round of 74 in the first round and was even in the second. She started strong in the third round with three birdies in her first six holes before closing with a 76.
Redshirt junior
Rachel Camp was in a tie for 59
th with a 14-over total of 230. Camp shot 75 in the first round and 73 in the second. In the third round, she posted 82.
Sophomore
Lara El Chaib was a shot back in a tie for 64
th. After an 82 to start the tournament, El Chaib posted 73 on Monday and 76 on Tuesday.
Senior
Ebby Somers was in a tie for 69
th with three rounds of 78. Freshman
Julie Kleppe rounded out the lineup in a tie for 77
th with rounds of 82, 83, and 76.
The Gamecocks will return to action on February 1
st at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
