
Gamecocks Unanimous No. 1 in NTCA Preseason Poll

JACKSONVILLE—The defending NCAA champions are the unanimous No. 1 team in the National Ten Pin Coaches Association 2026-27 preseason poll, released this afternoon.

The Gamecocks received all 38 first-place votes for a grand total of 1,620 points to finish ahead of Vanderbilt (1,484), Wichita State (1,420), Arkansas State (1,336), and Nebraska (1,330) to round out the top five.

Eight of the top 10 are Conference USA members.

Jax State returns their entire roster from the 2025-26 season which posted a 103-10 overall record and won all but two of their regular season tournaments. The Gamecocks also won their second Conference USA championship and second consecutive USBC Intercollegiate Team Championship.

Four first-team All-Americans headline the Jax State roster in senior Annalise Obryant, junior Erin Klemencic, reigning national player of the year Gianna Brandolino, and sophomore Kaitlyn Stull.

Jax State will open the 2026-27 season on October 16 at the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic at Holiday Bowl in Struthers, Ohio.
