Carson Jeffery enrolled at Jax State in July of 2026 to begin studying for his master's degree. While pursuing his degree, he will assist the Jax State soccer coaching staff with their duties.
Jeffery arrives to Jacksonville after finishing his playing career at Drake University. While in Des Moines, the Bulldogs won the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship. During this time, he also assisted the women's soccer team's goalkeepers to jump-start his coaching career.
Prior to Drake, Jeffery began his college career at Western Illinois. He saw his first game action on November 11, 2023, where he earned his first career start against St. Thomas. In that match, Jeffery tallied three saves and played the full 90 minutes.
Jeffery was a goalkeeper for Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, under head coach Amir Hadzic. He led the Saints to the Iowa 3A State Championship in 2021, and was also a First Team All-State selection multiple times in his high school career. Jeffery also broke the XHS record for most saves in a single season during his time with the Saints.
Jeffery took part in several professional trials in Croatia, Slovania, Italy, and Malta to pursue a professional playing career, earning offers from the USL League One in the US and Malta's Second Division of soccer.
A native of Robins, Iowa, Jeffery currently resides in Jacksonville. He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and Health Science in 2026 from Drake University.
