Jenna Lord joins Jax State softball as a graduate assistant ahead of the 2027 season after a five-year collegiate career with stints in the SEC, Big 12 and American conferences.
"We are excited to welcome Jenna as our graduate assistant," head coach Julie Boland said. "Her passion for the game and commitment to learning make her a great addition to the program. We're thrilled to have her join the Gamecock family."
Lord spent the last two years as a member of the Charlotte 49ers, where she batted .414 with 145 hits, including 27 doubles, three triples and 34 home runs across both seasons. Lord broke the school's single-season RBI record (65) and single-season slugging percentage record (.865), along with leading the program in career batting average (.414), slugging percentage (.811) and on-base percentage (.489) at the time of her graduation. Additionally, Lord earned NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team honors in both years with the 49ers and was the 2025 American Conference Player of the Year.
After graduating from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 2021, Lord made her first collegiate stop with Alabama as a freshman before transferring to Ole Miss for her sophomore season. After a year with the Rebels, Lord redshirted with Texas Tech in 2024 before making her final stop in Charlotte.
Outside of playing experience, Lord brings a variety of coaching experience to Jax State as well. In the summer of 2026, Lord was the head coach of the Anna Maria Aquanats in the Florida Gulf Coast Collegiate League, where her squad went 8-9 to finish sixth out of 14 teams. Lord has also been a camp instructor for multiple years at Innergrit Sports Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn. and Tennessee Mojo Softball Winter Camp in Cookeville, Tenn. as well.
