The Jacksonville State soccer team began play on the Jax State Soccer Field in the Fall of 2003 after the new field was built beyond the left field wall of Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium, between the baseball stadium and Pete Mathews Coliseum. The facility, which has bleachers, as well as hillside seating, had a new natural surface installed in the summer of 2008.
Prior to the 2018 season, a new Daktronics scoreboard was installed in the southwest corner of the facility. The Jax State Soccer Complex also includes covered dugouts for participating teams.
