Jacksonville State senior offensive lineman Jeremy Sullivan was named to the 2001 Football Gazette NCAA I-AA All-American third-team, the magazine announced today.
Junior running back Rondy Rogers, quarterback Reggie Stancil and freshman punter Richie Rhodes were named honorable mention All-Americans.
Sullivan, a native of Leroy, was a four-year starter for the Gamecocks and was a two-time first team All-Southland Football League selection. He finished his career with a string of 41 consecutive starts on the offensive line.
Rogers, from Birmingham, became JSU's single-season rushing leader after finishing with over 1,400 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns last season. The Minor High School product also earned All-SFL honors.
Stancil, who also earned all-SFL honors, finished his junior season with 1,848 yards through the air and 14 touchdowns. The former SFL Freshman-of-the-Year was the league's top-rated passer, with a 168.0 passing efficiency.
Rhodes, the first freshman to earn I-AA All-American honors earlier this year, led the Southland Football League with a 45.7 punting average. The Alexander City native also had 11 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line.
