GLENCOE - Middle Tennessee State's
Tamara Munsch shot a low-round of 75 for a total of 154 to claim medalist honors at the Chris Banister Golf Classic. Murray State fired a two-day total of 639 to claim the team championship at the 5,935 yard, par 72, Silver Lakes Golf Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Tuesday.
Samford's Kelly Villarreal, Murray State's Stephanie Baskey and New Orleans Crystal Elliers each finished with a 155 to tie for second, while Murray State's Cuyler Hedley finished at 156 to round out the top 5.
New Orleans finished with a 643 to claim second place, just four shots back. Troy State fired a 646 for third, Jacksonville State finished in fourth with a 648 and Middle Tennessee State's 656 was good enough for fifth place in the 13 team field.
JSU's Angie Green finished tied for sixth with a 157, while Marie-Eve Dion and Kathy Johnson each tied for 19th with a 164. Colette Murray shot a 165 for 22nd place and Heather Gentry wrapped up with a 176.
