The Athletics Department conducts itself in such a way as to be consistent with the overall goals of the University and to enhance the quality of the college experience by maintaining a standard of excellence and sportsmanship among the student-athletes.

GOALS

· To foster a primary concern and maximize potential for the academic, physical and emotional welfare of the student-athlete

· To ensure compliance with the NCAA, Conference, University and Athletic Department regulations

· To provide equitable opportunities for all students and staff without regard to race or gender

· To maintain a positive atmosphere for the student body, alumni, fans and supporters while serving both the campus community and general public

· To achieve and maintain fiscal responsibility as defined by the University administration
