ATHENS, Ga.-- Jacksonville State's Jeronica Bell and Eboni Matthews posted Ohio Valley Conference Bests this weekend at the Spec Towns Invitational in Athens, Ga.

Bell started off the meet with a toss of 119-02 in the women's javelin. The mark defeated the previous best by Eastern Kentucky's Lindsey Stanley of 114'08.

Later in the day, Eboni Matthews set a conference best by running the 200-meter dash in 23.91, defeating the previous time of 24.07 by Tennessee State's Jennifer Lawson. The time placed Matthews in third place.

Matthews also recorded the second fastest time in the 400-meters with a time of 55.23 and finished in sixth place.

Among these three performances, JSU posted 12 season bests in its last meet before the OVC meet on April 6th and 7th at Austin Peay.
