
JSU Football Picked to Win Third Straight OVC Championship

Seniors Maurice Mullins and Haneef Haqq showcased Jacksonville State's new football uniforms during the team's Football Media Day on Thursday.
Mullins, a preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference selection at quarterback, wears the Gamecocks' Road Uniforms. The white jersey features red stripes in the sleeves and the red numbers are outlined with a touch of black.
Haqq, one of the defensive leaders, displays the Gamecocks' Home Uniforms. The red jersey features white stripes in the sleeves and the white numbers are oulined in black.
Both jerseys will be worn with white solid pants, with the JSU University logo stiched on the left thigh. Each uniform has the players' name stiched on the back of the jersey.
The front of each jersey features a Gamecock on the neck and "JSU" is stiched just above each number. The Ohio Valley Conference logo is displayed on the left shoulder pad and Adidas is featured on the right side.
JSU will continue to wear red helmets with black face masks with a logo featuring JSU and the school's Gamecock logo.
Jacksonville State opens the 2005 season on Sept. 1 against No. 1 ranked Furman. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Paul Snow Stadium.
