2005 JSU Football Media Guide Available

JACKSONVILLE – This year’s edition of the Jacksonville State football team will be televised a school-record seven times during the 2004 season after the Ohio Valley Conference announced the league’s television schedule on Monday.
All five home football games will be televised and the Gamecocks’ road games at Tennessee Tech and Eastern Illinois will also be carried.
“When you play good, being exposed is nothing but an asset for your program,” said JSU head coach Jack Crowe. “Television exposure is the best type exposure that you can get. The ability for other people to experience Gamecock football should do nothing but help us in recruiting, alumni relations and fundraising.”
Jacksonville State’s match-up versus Tennessee State will be carried live on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and the game has been moved to a 6 p.m. kick. JSU’s four other home games will be carried tape delayed locally on WJXS-TV 24.
The Gamecocks road game at Tennessee Tech will be carried by WCTE and the Nov. 13 game at Eastern Illinois will be televised with WEIU.
"We’re pleased to provide our institutions with the exposure opportunities afforded by televised contests,” said Dr. Steinbrecher. “Many fine football student-athletes participate in the Ohio Valley Conference, and this gives them the chance to showcase their talents and abilities in front of a broader audience."
