Jacksonville State University Baseball will be holding two Summer Showcase Camps at Rudy Abbot Field on August 18th and August 19th. The camp is open to High School athletes in the graduating classes of 2007 – 2010.
The showcase camp will run from 9:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Registration will begin at 8 am. Along with a showcase portion of the camp, instruction on all phases of the game will be included with this camp. The JSU coaching staff, other college coaches, and professional scouts will also be working and evaluating at the camp.
The cost of the camp is $95. If a camper attends the Summer Showcase Camp, he will receive a $20 discount for the upcoming JSU Fall League that will start in the beginning of September.
This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills. Last year Jacksonville State signed seven players out of the Summer Showcase camp to baseball scholarships. Along with those seven, there were four more players that went on to earn Division I scholarships. There were also numerous others that earned scholarships to other colleges and universities. On the 2007-2008 Gamecock roster we have 22 former campers that will be on the team this upcoming school year. .
