
Jax State Football Ranked in Top 25 in FCS Polls

Jacksonville State is ranked in the Top 25 in both major football polls, that were released on Monday. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 21 in the FCS Coaches Poll, and ranked No. 23 in The Sports Network Poll.
Jacksonville State (0-1) dropped two spots in both polls after suffering a 37-17 loss at No. 15 Georgia Tech over the weekend.
Defending FCS champion Richmond jumped into first in both polls after defeating Duke 24-16 over the weekend, while Appalachian State dropped to second in both polls.
Ohio Valley Conference member Eastern Kentucky is ranked No. 23 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 22 in The Sports Network Poll, while Eastern Illinois, UT Martin, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech each received votes in one of the polls.
