
Calvin Middleton was one of three players to agree to NFL free agent deals
JSU Trio Agree to Free Agent Deals with NFL Teams

Jacksonville State's A.J. Davis, Calvin Middleton and Monte Lewis have all agreed to sign as free agents with National Football League Teams on Saturday evening following the NFL draft.
Davis is expected to sign with the New Orleans Saints, Middleton with the St. Louis Rams and Lewis with the Washington Redskins.
Lewis, from Abbeville, started all 11 games for Jax State and finished with 32 tackles, including 28 solo stops to earn All-OVC honors in 2011. He also finished with seven tackles for loss and added a pair of sacks, a forced fumble and one blocked kick during his senior year. He finished his JSU career 90 tackles and eight sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick.
Davis finished with 28 tackles on the season, all solo stops, and was second on the team with two interceptions to earn All-OVC honors in 2011. The former Clay-Chalkville High School product, also had five passes defended, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery his senior year. He finished his four-year career with 126 tackles, including 97 solo stops, 17 pass breakups, six interceptions, three fumble recoveries and one blocked kick.
Middleton finished his senior season second on the team 723 rushing yards on 167 carries and tied for the team-lead with eight rushing touchdowns. He also had 20 pass receptions for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Middleton finished his Gamecock career with 1,941 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns.
The JSU trio helped Jacksonville State win the school's 18th conference championship in 2011 and posted an impressive 32-13 four-year record, including one of the school's biggest wins with a 49-48 double-overtime road win at Ole Miss to open the 2010 season.
