OWENS CROSSROADS – The final day of the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship for Jacksonville State came after the final round was completed.
The Gamecocks shot a 304 and finished third, but senior Melania Bajo Geijo was recognized in the post tournament awards presentation as the OVC's 2015-16 Women's Golfer of the Year. The Neuquen, Argentina, native was voted to league's top player for this season by its head coaches, making her the fifth Gamecock to receive the honor but the first since 2009.
