Golf Lands UNLV Transfer

JACKSONVILLE—Jax State Director of Golf Robbie Fields announced the signing of Caitlin Shippam to the 2026-27 women's roster.
Shippam comes to the Gamecocks after spending two seasons at UNLV where she played in six tournaments. The Tipperary, Ireland native placed fourth at the Jackrabbits Invitational with a four-under total which was highlighted by a 68 in the final round. She had 14 birdies in the 54-hole tournament.
"I got to know Caitlin during her junior golf, so I am excited to get the opportunity to coach her now," said Fields. "She is an excellent person with a lot of ability on the golf course which she has proven in her opportunities to compete. I believe Caitlin will make our team better all around and we cannot wait to welcome her to Jacksonville this fall."
In her first tournament of the summer, Shippam was fourth at the West of Ireland Women's Amateur Open Championship, posting nine-under. Before coming to the United States, Shippam won the 2022 Munster Women's & Girl's Senior Open and was second at the 2023 Fairhaven Trophies.
