Jacksonville State Announces Partnership Extension With Adidas

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State Athletics Department has agreed to a new multi-year exclusive partnership extension with adidas beginning in June 2017, JSU Athletics Director Greg Seitz has announced.
 
With the five-year extension, the Portland, Ore. based company will be the official athletic footwear and apparel brand of the Gamecocks through the 2021-22 season. The new deal extends a 14-year relationship between the Gamecocks and adidas.
 
"Jacksonville State University is thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership with adidas," Seitz said. "They continue to be world-class leaders in athletic apparel technology and creativity, and we're proud to continue a partnership that began in 2003. 
 
"Our partnership with Adidas has been outstanding for our program and student-athletes. adidas is a global brand, and their vision and reach is a valuable asset to Jacksonville State as we continue to enhance our own JSU brand both locally and nationally."
 
JSU and adidas have shared success over the last decade, as the original agreement started at the same time the Gamecocks joined the Ohio Valley Conference and adidas has since equipped and outfitted 65 conference championship teams and 44 JSU trips to NCAA Tournament play.
 
"This multi-year extension will allow us to continue providing our student-athletes, coaches and staff the highest quality apparel and equipment, while also providing valuable resources to the Department,"" Seitz added. "The fact that adidas eagerly sought to extend our partnership clearly demonstrates to us their continued understanding of the tremendous value of the entire Jacksonville State athletics program."
