JACKONVILLE - One of country music's biggest stars and Jacksonville's own, Riley Green, will host a charity softball game to benefit Jacksonville State University Athletics on Friday, August 6 at Rudy Abbott Field at Jim Case Stadium.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the game starting at 7 p.m. Green will have an acoustical performance following the game. Tickets for the benefit event are $20 and are available online at JSUGamecockSports.com and will be sold at the stadium ticket office.

Green has confirmed an all-star lineup, headlined by reigning NASCAR Cup Champion, Chase Elliott and Gerald Swindle, one of the top anglers on the Bassmaster Tour and native of Guntersville, Alabama.

Elliott, drives the No. 9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, the same car number his father, Bill Elliott. In all, he has 13 career Cup Series wins and a win in the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Elliott has earned a NASCAR Playoffs berth in each of the past five seasons. He made his first Championship 4 appearance in 2020. Elliott's first Cup Series win occurred at Watkins Glen International in 2018. Elliott became the first rookie to win a NASCAR national division championship when he captured the Xfinity Series title in 2014. Elliott was named the Most Popular Driver in the Cup Series in 2018 and 2019.

Swindle has been fishing B.A.S.S. tournaments since 1995. His accomplishments include 18 Bassmaster Classic appearances and 55 Top 10 finishes. Swindle won Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year titles in 2004 and 2016.

Other guests of Green will be Jason Currier, Greg Camp, Tyler Reeve, Mike Hornsby, Austin Neal and Matt Duff.

The concession stand will be available along with alcohol sales inside the stadium.
