ATLANTA – The ASUN Conference announced its 2022 Football All-Conference Team on Wednesday afternoon and recognized four student-athletes from Jacksonville State on the squad.
The team was voted on by the league's six head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own players. That panel deemed four Gamecocks worthy of recognition. The honors come after Jax State rolled through the 2022 ASUN schedule with a perfect 5-0 record and an average margin of victory of 19 points per game.
It is the 25th time in school history that Jax State has won its conference title and the eighth time in the past 12 seasons. It also marks the Gamecocks' final FCS conference title, with JSU making the move to FBS and Conference USA in 2023.
The four Gamecocks honored featured two on offense and two on defense. Tight end Sean Brown, center Treylen Brown, linebacker Stevonte Tullis and defensive end J-Rock Swain were the Jax State players that received all-conference recognition.

Sean Brown nabs his second All-ASUN honor in two seasons after being named to the team in 2021. In 2022, he was the Gamecocks' second-leading receiver in receptions and yards with 18 catches for 331 yards and a score. The Rome, Ga., native was also a key blocker for the No. 5 rushing offense in the FCS this season. In ASUN games, he was Jax State's top target, grabbing a second-best nine catches for a team-high 171 yards...a big-play threat from the tight end position, hauled in seven catches of over 20 yards, averaging 18.4 yards per catch overall and 19.0 yards per catch in league games.
Treylen Brown received his first career All-ASUN honor after anchoring the Gamecocks offensive line in 2022. The native of Spartanburg, S.C., started the season as the starting guard and moved to the center position after in injury early in the season opener. He never relinquished that role and went on to help pave the way for the No. 27 offense in the nation and set the stage for the No. 5 rushing offense in FCS at over 251 rushing yards per game.

Tullis received his second All-ASUN nod in as many seasons in the league this fall. The Dothan, Ala., native has suited up in red and white 57 times, more than any other player in school history. The undisputed leader on the Jax State defense, Tullis led the nation in fumbles recovered with three, tops on a Gamecock defense that led FCS with 15 fumble recoveries. He was second on the team in tackles with 71, while also recording an interception, three pass breakups, four passes defended and three quarterback hurries.
Swain earned his third all-conference honor in as many seasons with the Gamecocks after grabbing All-ASUN honors in 2021 and All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in 2020. This season, the Oxford, Ala., native was second among JSU defensive linemen with 38 tackles and was also second on the team with 10 tackles for a loss, five sacks and five quarterback hurries. He recovered two fumbles and forced two fumbles to help a JSU defense that led the nation with 15 fumbles recovered.
