Jacksonville – The Jacksonville State beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to Chattanooga on the road Thursday.
 
The Mocs defeated JSU 4-1 in both matches.
 
In the first match, freshmen Paulina Lindberg and Brooklyn Schiffli earned the lone win for JSU, 2-1, in the fifth flight, 11-21, 21-13, 15-13. The win is the second on the year for the pair.
 
In match two the lone win came from the third flight as Peyton Pauze and Taylor Thomas earned a 2-0 win, 21-11, 21-5.
 
JSU will return to action on Saturday Mar. 19, in the Coastal Carolina tournament against Erskine and Tusculum at 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., respectively.
