RICHMOND, Ky. – The Jacksonville State beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the first day of the EKU Tournament Friday.

JSU opened the day with a 4-1 loss to ASUN Conference foe North Alabama before falling to Austin Peay 4-1.

Against North Alabama, Peyton Pauze and Taylor Thomas earned their second win of the year, 2-0, in the second flight by scores of 21-19 and 21-18.

Lena Kindermann and Erin Carmichael added their second win with a 21-18, 21-18 win in the third flight against Austin Peay. 

JSU will continue play in the EKU Tournament Saturday, April 2, against Illinois at 8 a.m. and Eastern Kentucky at 12 p.m.
