JACKSONVILLE – In the new era of collegiate athletics, Jax State Athletics announces Jax State Era, a new stand-alone entity within the Jax State Athletic Foundation aimed at developing and strengthening a new business model to enhance athletic and financial success for Gamecock student-athletes.
Jax State Era represents Excellence, Revenue, and Administration, serving as an in-house NIL (Name, image, and Likeness) operation. Its mission is to drive competitive excellence through an innovative and best-in-class revenue-sharing model built to recruit and retain Gamecock talent in the pursuit of conference and national championships.

"This initiative ensures we remain competitive at the highest levels while providing our athletes with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive academically, professionally and athletically."

Excellence
With seven national championships and nearly 150 conference titles, Jax State has a rich, tradition-filled history of athletic excellence. That legacy is fundamental for Jax State's foray into the next landscape of college athletics. Jax State Era will work to support Gamecock student-athletes with the best resources and expertise available to foster athletic, academic and professional success.
Revenue
In partnership with the Jax State Athletic Foundation, Jax State Era will manage Jax State's efforts in a new revenue-sharing athletics model. A pending settlement in the House v. NCAA case set for spring 2025 will largely influence the narrative of direct revenue-sharing with student-athletes moving forward.
Additionally, Jax State Era will develop new revenue generation strategies and will serve as a landing spot for future private funding opportunities.
Administration
Similar to a professional front office structure, Jax State Era will use an executive leader structure to manage the overall financial compensation package associated with individual teams and student-athletes. Leadership members will serve as the agency for all student-athlete NIL opportunities, including revenue-sharing agreements.

With expanding efforts to recruit, develop, retain and positively impact Gamecock student-athletes in personal growth and athletic success, Jax State Era will serve as keystone factor in Jax State's mission to pursue championships in all sports for years to come.
