Jax State Set To Host Middle Tennessee From The Pete

JACKSONVILLE – Head coach Ray Harper's men's basketball team will face Middle Tennessee at Pete Mathews Coliseum on Wednesday night.
The Gamecocks (12-14, 4-7 CUSA) are looking to snap a two-game slide in conference play, and will have to do so against one of the hottest teams in the league. Following an 0-4 start in conference, MTSU (11-15, 5-6 CUSA) beat Jax State in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Jan. 24, since then, the Blue Raiders have the best league mark going 5-2 in their last seven games.
Wednesday's showdown pits some of the best offensive stars in Conference USA against one another at The Pete. Jax State's KyKy Tandy leads the league with 18 points per game, while MTSU's Jestin Porter, the reigning CUSA Player of the Week following a 41-point game, enters averaging over 20 points in his last 10 games.
The Gamecocks and Blue Raiders tip off from the coliseum at 6 p.m. Coverage of the contest can be streamed on ESPN+.
Jax State's final home weekend of the season will be next week, Feb. 29 and March 2 for senior day.
