Dear Gamecock Nation,
There are a lot of reasons to be excited about Jax State Athletics, and the staunch support of our loyal fans is one of the biggest. As we enter this Spring season in our first year of Conference USA, this is truly an exciting and historic time in our proud Athletic history.
As you know, our football team became the first team in the history of college football to win a bowl game in the first year of transition to FBS with a thrilling 34-31 win in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl after finishing the season with a 9-4 overall record.
The addition of bowling as our 18th varsity sport this season has brought a new level of excitement. We are currently the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation and look to compete for our first Division I National Championship in April.
With men's and women's basketball getting ready for the Conference USA Tournament, our spring season has also gotten underway. Gamecock baseball opened the Steve Bieser Era with a series win over Memphis, leading what has already been an exciting start to what looks to be a big first spring in CUSA.
When you support Gamecock Athletics, you empower student-athletes to make the most of their academic and athletic experience. Gifts to an annual sports fund provide sports equipment, team travel, performance nutrition and academic necessities for our 375-plus student-athletes as they compete for Championships. By supporting one of our 18 athletic programs, you will have a direct impact on our student-athletes and the annual needs in the year the gift is given.
As we transition to Conference USA, we need your financial help to support JSU Athletics. Every gift given to JSU Athletics establishes you as a member of the Gamecock Club, and every gift given makes a significant impact in the lives of all of our student-athletes.
Today is JSU's Annual Day of Giving, and I would like to invite everyone who is passionate about JSU Athletics and who wants to be a champion for our student-athletes to give a gift of any amount. No gift is insignificant, and every gift truly makes a difference to our student-athletes. Your gift empowers each of them to pursue their dream of earning a college degree while competing at the highest level of Division I athletics and graduate as champions. Thank you for considering to help make their dreams a reality.
