MIAMI, FL. – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team fell in the semifinals of the 2024 Conference USA tournament to end a successful first campaign in the league.

Jax State (12-8) lost 0-4 to the Liberty Flames (17-5) who will move on to face FIU in the finals Sunday.
Anna Syrova and
Ella Tuomela lost the first doubles court 0-6 to Liberty's Maria Turchetto and Daniella O'Neill.
Polina Ramenskaja and
Dariana Prato then fell 3-6 on court No. 3 to Esther Lovato and Marina Davtyan to clinch the doubles point for the Flames.

Irene Artigas lost on court No. 4 in singles in a straight-set to Davtyan. Syrova then lost on court No. 3 0-6, 3-6 to give the Flames a 3-0 lead.
Martina Zarza fell on court No. 6 to clinch the victory for Liberty in a straight-set.

Although it was a disappointing ending to the season, it was the Gamecocks first semifinal appearance since the OVC era.
