CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Jax State's volleyball team fell 5-0 against Carson-Newman Friday at Chattanooga.
 
Jax State (0-5) made the trip up to Chattanooga for the Scenic City Showdown at UTC Sports Complex for a pair of weekend matches. Friday, the Gamecocks faced a tough Carson-Newman (17-8) squad.
 
The tandem of Brooklyn Schiffli and Caty Havekost had the best outing including a second set win by a score of 22-20. The duo lost the first set 21-11 and lost the third set 15-8. Kiara Amigon and Morgan McClure combined for a total of 34 points in their two sets.
 
The Gamecocks will move on for a battle with Tusculum tomorrow at 11 A.M. CT.
