CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Jax State's beach volleyball team lost in their second match of the weekend in the Scenic City Showdown on Saturday against Tusculum.

The Gamecocks (0-6) lost the match to the Pioneers (17-9) 5-0 in Chattanooga at UTC Sports Complex. Just like Friday, Jax State's pairing of
Brooklyn Schiffli and
Caty Havekost had the most success as they claimed the lone set win of the day.

After losing their first set 21-3, Schiffli and Havekost recovered with a 21-16 in set two to force a third set. Tusculum's Riley Rushing and Hannah Marsh took the third and final set 15-9 to clinch the match.

Jax State's duos of Stavi Papazoglou and Hanah Aiana and
Kiara Amigon and
Morgan McClure tallied 25 points for the Gamecocks in their efforts.

The Gamecocks will now prepare to head to Clarksville, TN., for a clash with former Ohio Valley Conference foes Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, and UT Martin Monday-Wednesday of next week.
