DALLAS, TX. – On Wednesday Jacksonville State University had 73 student-athletes to earn the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal, announced by the league office.
A total of 806 student-athletes have been named to the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal Winners for the 2023-24 academic year. To be listed, recipients must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better.
Jax State's 73 mark is now the standard for the Gamecocks following their inaugural year in CUSA. According to the league, 22.9 percent of CUSA student-athletes earned a Commissioner's Athletic Medal.
Jax State's soccer team paved the way with 13 student-athletes receiving the award, followed by football with 10 honorees. Baseball and softball both had nine athletes receiving the honor as well.
