JACKSONVILLE – Former Jacksonville State women's basketball standout
Rachel Johnson has signed with Aguada Femenino in Uruguay to begin her professional career.

The Eufaula, Al., product averaged 5.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in her lone season with Jax State in the 2023-24 season. Johnson shot 34% from the field, 33% from three, and was a force on the defensive side of the ball with 28 total steals during the year.

Johnson had a season high of 25 points on Feb. 24, 2024 to lead the Gamecocks to a home victory over one of the top teams in Conference USA.

Prior to Jax State, Johnson had stints at Southern Union Community College in 2018-19, Chipola College in 2019-20, Wichita State University in 2020-21, and Georgia Southern University in 2021-22.
