
Bowling Heads to North Carolina

JACKSONVILLE—Jax State Bowling heads to AMF All Star this weekend for the North Carolina A&T Invitational in Greensboro, N.C.
The Gamecocks have made the championship in each of their last three events, coming away with first place honors at the Flyer Classic in Illinois to start the month with a 4-3 come from behind victory over North Carolina A&T in the title match.
Most recently, Jax State was the runner-up at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark., picking up a win over top-ranked Nebraska in Baker play and defeated second-ranked Vanderbilt in the semifinal.
During the Mid-Winter Invitational, the Gamecocks posted a 211.4 Baker average as a team and a 210.2 average in traditional play. Individually, Dannielle Henderson had the top traditional average at 217.2 and Anna Warkel had the top Baker average at 226.7. For the weekend, the team totaled a 54.5% strike percentage and an 85.1% success rate on makeable spares.
At this event last year, Jax State took second. The Gamecocks took down Arkansas State 4-3 to earn a trip straight to the final where they faced the Red Wolves again but fell 4-3.
