Krasner Set to Play in UTR Pro Summer Slam

Tallahassee, Fla. – Jacksonville State tennis's own David Krasner is set to play in the UTR Pro Summer Slam National Championships at Florida State University this Tuesday through Saturday.
Krasner qualified for the event after wins over Cole Henceroth of South Carolina on July 29, Joey Phillips of Auburn on July 30, and Yoshka Sborosky of Alabama on July 31. Krasner downed Henceroth 2-0, defeated Phillips 2-1, and beat Sborowsky 2-0.
"I'm excited to see what David can do next," head tennis coach Michael Helms said. "He's obviously talented, but what really separates him is how hard he works. He's one of the hardest workers I've been around. Talent and work ehic are a dangerous combination, and it's becoming increasingly rare. David has both, and I think that gives him a tremendous opportunity to do some special things moving forward."
Former Alabama tennis player Enzo Aguiard beat Krasner 2-0 on Aug. 8, but the Jax State standout had done enough previously to qualify for the Pro Summer Slam.
To open this week's event, Krasner takes on Aleksandr Kalinin of Georgia Gwinnett College on Aug. 11 at 10:30 a.m. A link to the live scoring of the match is listed below.

Krasner and the Gamecocks get back in action on Sep. 11 and 12 at the Georgia Gwinnett Men's Invitational to begin their fall slate.
