2022-23 (Eastern Florida State College) Spent one season at NJCAA Eastern Florida State where he averaged 17.4 points and 9.7 rebounds. Burney's team ended regular season as a second place in FCSAA Central Conference that year...helped E.Florida St. make it to the NJCAA D1 South Atlantic District Semifinals, NJCAA D1 Region VIII Semifinals and NJCAA D1 FCSAA State Semifinals. Burney was also voted to NJCAA Division I All-America Honorable Mention.
2020-23 (Shelton State) The All-ACCC North Division Player of the Year was also selected to ACCC All-Region 22 First Team, All-ACCC North Division First Team and ACCC All-Tournament Team in 2022 after his team won ACCC North Division Regular Season and NJCAA D1 South District Championships.
