Alberto Colas Sanchez enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Jacksonville State University men’s tennis program in Spring 2025.
Before joining the staff at Jax State, Colas Sanchez played three seasons at Mississippi State University, where he amassed an impressive 41 singles victories and 29 doubles victories. During his time with the Bulldogs, he was ranked as high as #92 in singles and #47 in doubles. His performance earned him several honors, including SEC Freshman of the Week, SEC Co-Newcomer of the Week, and ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Colas Sanchez later transferred to Florida Atlantic University, where he played his final two collegiate seasons at the top of the lineup. During his tenure at FAU, he recorded 21 singles victories and 19 doubles victories, further solidifying his reputation as a standout player. He earned prestigious accolades such as C-USA Newcomer of the Year and All-Conference USA First Team honors for two consecutive years.
Off the court, Colas Sanchez excelled academically, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management at Jacksonville State University
