Head women’s basketball coach Ricky Austin has rounded out his staff with the hiring of Reegan McCue.
McCue joins Jax State after two seasons as Director of Video for UCF women’s basketball from 2024-2026. At UCF, McCue was a part of the Knights’ first ever Big 12 conference tournament game. McCue over saw all scouting and film related duties during his time in Orlando, Fla. He also worked with All-Big 12 player Kaitlin Peterson and All-Big 12 Freshman Team member Emely Rodriguez.
McCue graduated from Auburn University in 2024 where he served as a student manager for the men’s basketball team from 2019-2024. McCue is the all-time winningest manager at Auburn with 114 wins over his five seasons.
McCue was with the Auburn men’s basketball team who won the 2022 SEC Regular Season Championship and the 2024 SEC Tournament Championship. While at Auburn, McCue made three NCAA appearances in the 2021-22 season, the 2022-23 season, and the 2023-24 season.
McCue also worked with nine NBA players in Isaac Okoro, JT Thor, Sharife Cooper, Jabari Smith Jr., Walker Kessler, Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, Tre Donaldson, and Chaney Johnson.
McCue is from Aurora, Ill. He is married to his wife Sally. He has one son named Brooks.
