2017 JSU Beach Volleyball Roster
Biography
PRIOR TO JSU: Spent two seasons at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) where she played indoor volleyball as an outside hitter accumulating 194 kills, 35 service aces and 333 digs…a part of the Team Alberta Beach Training group in 2015 and 2016…placed 4th in the Canadian U18 Beach Nationals in 2015.
JSU BEACH CAREER:
2017: Quickly became one of JSU’s top beach performers in her first season…played in all 32 duals, 26 of those at the No. 1 spot with teammate Katie Will where the duo collected seven wins…won her first career dual on March 4 against UL Monroe in JSU’s first match win of the season…also made appearances at the No. 2 and 3 courts…finished the year tied for a team-high 19 set wins.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Paul Kane High School in St. Albert, Alberta Canada…in addition to volleyball, she played soccer, track and field and danced competitively…led her Team Alberta U16 provincial team in 2013 to a bronze medal at the Western Elite Canadian championships.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Lynda Burgess and John Visscher… has one brother, Sam-Jaxon, and two older half-brothers, Ryan and Jordan.
