Sarah Bureau enters her first season with Jacksonville State University's as a Graduate Assistant for the women’s tennis program in Fall 2024.
Before joining the staff at Jax State, Bureau spent four seasons at Murray State University, where she played in the top lineup all four years, collecting a total of 136 wins. During her final year, she helped the team to a perfect 10-0 conference record in the Missouri Valley Conference. She led the Racers to first ever MVC regular season and tournament championship titles in school history and was honored with the Elite 17 award.
Throughout her collegiate career, Bureau earned numerous awards, including Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors, MVC All-Conference All-Select Team recognition, and the MVC Championship title in Singles Flight 3. She also received significant academic recognition, being named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for two years while Murray State was in the OVC, and receiving the OVC Academic Medal of Honor.
In the MVC, she earned Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention for the 2022-23 year and was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team for 2023-24. Additionally, Bureau was an ITA Scholar-Athlete for four consecutive years and made the Dean’s List all four years at MSU.
Bureau earned a bachelor’s degree in Management at Murray State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Management at Jacksonville State University.
