Emma Janek was Tim Ebbecke’s first hire when he was named the head coach of the Jax State volleyball program.
Janek is from Allen, Texas, where she graduated from Allen High School. Following her time at Allen High School, Janek signed to play volleyball at Saint Leo University. Janek graduated from Saint Leo in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Janek got her entry into the coaching sector by leading the Houston Skyline BCS club volleyball team from 2023-2026. While leading the Skyline, Janek had two teams qualify for USAV Nationals in 2024 and 2025. Those same years, both her teams finished in the top five at the national tournament.
Janek received the 2025 Skyline Coach Award and was tabbed as the January 2025 LOVB Coach of the Month. She also has led various camps and clinics.
Janek is the daughter of Leslie and John Janek. She also has two brothers, Ty and Cash.
