
Gamecocks Finish 10th at Georgia State

FINAL RESULTS
STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – Sophomore Maya Parsons finished in the a tie for 12th, while the Jacksonville State women's golf team finished 10th at the Georgia State John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
The Gamecocks turned in a final-round 327 on the 6,139-yard par-72, Eagle's Landing Country Club to finish the 54-hole event with a 983. Kent State shot a tourney-best 302 to win the 14-team tournament by 11 shots over Old Dominion.
Parsons, a native of Whitby, Ontario, used a final-round 79 to cap a 54-hole 238 and finish in a tied for 12th in the 76-player field. She battled back after an opening round 82 to card back-to-back rounds in the 70s to lead the Gamecocks for the tournament.
Senior Ornella Arrizon finished in a tie for 46th after a final-round 81 gave her a 249 for the two-day event. Freshman Melania Bajo Geijo's 82 on Tuesday helped her climb into 51st, while fellow freshman Melani Sisto fifnished in 54th after a final-round 85. Senior Luz Armijo-Fernandez rounded out the JSU lineup in a tie for 66th after a 91 on Tuesday.
Old Dominion's Kimberly Bradbury won the individual title with a 54-hole score of 223.
The Gamecocks return to the links on Monday, when they begin the Mimosa Hills Invitational in Morganton, N.C.
