JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State's women's basketball team welcomes Tennessee Tech to Pete Mathews Coliseum on Monday night for a 6 p.m. tipoff between Ohio Valley Conference rivals.
Â
JSU (7-4, 4-3 OVC) is coming off a tough road weekend with back-to-back losses on the road to Murray State and Austin Peay, while TTU (7-5, 5-3 OVC) enters the matchup with a similar record after three straight victories.
The two teams sit next to one another in the middle of the league standings. The Golden Eagles won the first meeting earlier this season in Cookeville, Tenn., 68-66, with free throws in the final seconds.Â
Â
Monday's contest is a makeup of the December 3 postponement, and has recently been moved up to a 6 p.m. start time. Fans unable to attend can stream the game on ESPN+ or listen through the Gamecock Sports Network.
Â
Looking to get back in the win column, Jax State returns to The Pete where the Gamecocks have enjoyed success with six-straight wins at home dating back to last season. The streak is tied for 33 rd best in the NCAA, and JSU will have plenty chances to extend it with three home games in the next six days.
