JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State University Volleyball team will open the 2021-22 regular season at home tomorrow in the Gamecock Classic Tournament.
The Gamecocks wrapped up the preseason with an exhibition win over UAB, 4-1, last weekend.
Jax State will take on Gardner-Webb and Alabama State tomorrow at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectively in THE PETE. Admission is free.
All JSU games will be streamed live on ESPN+ with
Mike Parris on the call.
This weekend's tournament marks the first since 2019 after non-conference play was halted in the spring 2021 season.
JSU returns 11 players from last season and welcomes five newcomers, including Wake Forest transfer
Zoe Gonzales.
The returners for the back-to-back champs feature 2021 OVC Player of the Year
Lena Kindermann, OVC Setter of the Year
Lexie Libs and OVC Freshman of the Year
