JACKSONVILLE- The JSU men's tennis team improved to 4-2 on the season after a dominant performance on the JSU Tennis Courts Friday afternoon in a 7-0 win over Alabama A&M.
 
The Gamecocks opened the match with doubles play, winning on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. 
Thomas Norwood and 
Alex Vishnevskiy opened doubles with a 6-1 win in the third flight before 
Joaquin Vallejo and Alijaz Kaplja clinched the doubles point, 6-2, in the first flight.
 
Vallejo opened singles play with his third win of the season, 6-2, 6-3 in the first flight. In the sixth flight, 
Jordi Blanchar added a 6-1, 6-1 win to give JSU its third point of the match. 
Thomas Norwood earned the match-clinching win from the second flight, 6-2, 6-0. Following the clinch, 
Vanja Dobrnjac won 6-2, 6-1 on the No.3 court and 
Aljaz Kaplja added a 6-1, 6-3 win from the No. 5 court. JSU's leader in wins on the season, 
Vicente Arbelaez, closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-7, win to improve to 5-0 on the year.
 
JSU will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 27, at Mississippi State at 12 p.m.
