Box Score STARKVILLE, MS – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team dropped a road contest to No. 22 Mississippi State, 4-0, Sunday.

The No. 22 ranked Bulldogs earned two wins in doubles to take the doubles point and lead 1-0 in the match. Vanja Dobrnjac and Maj Tomac fell to the No. 55 ranked doubles duo in the country, 6-0 in doubles play.

In singles play, Mississippi state earned wins in the third, fourth and fifth flights to sweep the match 4-0. The Bulldogs featured two ranked players in singles. Joaquin Vallejo faced No. 39 ranked Florian Broska in the first flight. The match was unfinished as Vallejo battled with Broska but trailed 6-3, 5-3. In the second flight Thomas Norwood battled with the No. 55 ranked player in Nemanja Malesevic. The flight was unfinished as Norwood trailed 6-4, 3-2.

JSU falls to 4-3 overall on the season with the loss while Mississippi State moves to 9-3.

The Gamecocks will return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 1, against Troy at the JSU Tennis Courts.
