NEW ORLEANS – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team dropped to 0-4 on the season following a narrow 3-4 loss to New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.
New Orleans (3-1) defeated the Gamecocks in all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.
In singles play the Privateers earned consecutive wins in the No. 4, No. 1 and No. 5 flights to clinch the match-win. Even with New Orleans reaching four wins, both sides continued to play out the remaining matches. In the final three singles matched JSU earned wins.
Romane Mosse earned her first win of the season from the No. 2 court, 6-1, 6-7, 10-3.
Anna Syrova added her second win this year with a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win in the No. 3 singles flight. Rounding out the match,
Ella Tuomela earned her second win from the No. 6 spot, 6-7, 6-2, 10-7.
