Men's Tennis Falls to No. 71 Liberty on the road

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State University men's tennis team dropped its first ASUN conference contest to No. 71 Liberty, 5-2, Friday afternoon in Lynchburg, Va.
 
With the loss JSU moves to 6-5 on the year and 1-1 in conference play. Liberty is 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the league.
 
Liberty opened the match with wins at No. 2 and No. 1 doubles to take the doubles point. Thomas Norwood and Jordi Blanchar were tied with the Flames in the third doubles flight, 4-4, before it went unfinished.
 
In singles play Liberty earned four out of six points. Vanja Dobrnjac earned a win in the No.5 singles spot, 6-3, 0-6, 6-1 and Jordi Blanchar added a win in No. 6 singles, 1-6, 7-6, 6-4.
 
Up next, JSU will take on Bellarmine at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 27.
