JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State University women's tennis team dropped an ASUN conference contest on the road to Liberty, 6-1, Friday afternoon in Lynchburg, Va.
With the loss JSU moves to 5-9 on the year and 1-2 in conference play. Liberty is 13-5 overall and 2-1 in the league.
Liberty earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to open the match with the doubles point. Freshman
Anna Syrova and
Ella Tuomela added a 6-4 win in the second flight as the only doubles win for JSU.
In singles play Tuomela earned the only point for JSU, winning 7-6, 7-5 in the fourth flight.
Up next, JSU will take on Bellarmine at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 27.
