JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Stetson on Sunday afternoon in the final home match of the season.
Prior to the match, seniors
Balsen Kaya and
Carolina Bulatovic were recognized in a Senior Day ceremony.
In doubles play, Stetson earned wins in the first and third flights for the opening point.
JSU held early leads in majority of singles play but fell short in the third, fourth, fifth and first flights, respectively. Kaya added the only point of the match with her 6-7, 7-5, 7-6, come-from-behind win in the sixth flight.
With the loss JSU moves to 6-11 on the year and 2-4 in the ASUN while Stetson is 16-2 and 4-1.
JSU will close the year with three straight road contests and first face Kennesaw State on Friday, April 8, at 9 a.m.
